Required score on final

How this was calculated
The formula explained
Required score = (Target grade − Current grade × Current weight) ÷ Final exam weight. Your current weight is simply 1 minus the final's weight. If your final is worth 30%, your current grade accounts for the remaining 70%.
The what-if table above works in the opposite direction — it calculates your final grade for every possible exam score from 0% to 100% in 10% steps. This is more useful than a single required score because it shows you the full landscape: what happens if you do worse than expected, or better.
If the required score is over 100%, your target grade is no longer mathematically possible. Don't panic — use the table to find a realistic target instead. Getting a C might still be achievable even if an A isn't. Contact your professor about extra credit options before giving up on a higher grade.
